Our Helping Hearts Room in Appleton is designed for active toddlers ages 9–18 months who are learning to walk, talk, and explore with confidence. Through structured play, early language development, and a safe daily routine, we help your child grow independently while feeling secure and supported.

The Helping Hearts Room at our Appleton location is designed for busy, curious toddlers who are beginning to walk, talk, and explore everything around them.
Between 9 and 18 months, children experience incredible growth. First steps turn into confident walking. Sounds turn into words. Independence begins to blossom. Our classroom provides a safe, structured environment where your child can explore freely while feeling secure and supported.
Growing Through Movement & Discovery
At this stage, learning happens through movement and hands-on experiences. In our Appleton toddler classroom, children enjoy:
Sensory exploration and guided play
Music and movement activities
Early language development through songs and reading
Fine and gross motor skill building
Gentle social interaction with peers
We balance exploration with consistent routines so toddlers feel confident trying new things while knowing what to expect each day.
Building Confidence & Early Skills
Our caregivers intentionally support early communication, emotional development, and independence. Children begin practicing simple self-help skills, learning to follow routines, and developing positive social behaviors — all within a nurturing, encouraging environment.
At Community Builders Childcare in Appleton, your child will be known, supported, and celebrated during this exciting stage of growth.
