Safety Squad

Our Safety Squad Room in Appleton supports children ages 2.5–3 as they build early academic skills, independence, and confidence. Through structured learning, circle time, and purposeful play, we prepare your child for a successful transition into preschool.

The Safety Squad Room at our Appleton location is designed for growing preschoolers who are building confidence, independence, and early academic skills.

Between 2½ and 3 years old, children are learning to follow routines, communicate clearly, and participate in group activities. This classroom introduces more structured learning while still keeping play at the center of each day.

Preparing for Preschool Success

In our Appleton 2.5–3 year old classroom, children begin developing:

  • Early letter and number recognition

  • Color and shape identification

  • Listening and following multi-step directions

  • Cooperative play and teamwork

  • Stronger communication skills

We incorporate circle time, hands-on learning centers, music, movement, and guided activities to build focus and confidence.

Building Responsibility & Confidence

At this stage, children are capable of so much growth. Our teachers provide consistent expectations and positive guidance to help children:

  • Practice independence in daily routines

  • Develop self-control and emotional regulation

  • Strengthen problem-solving skills

  • Build friendships and social awareness

The Safety Squad Room helps bridge the gap between toddler care and full preschool readiness in a supportive, encouraging environment.

At Community Builders Childcare in Appleton, your child will be challenged, supported, and celebrated every step of the way.
